Admission process at PEC starts

Chandigarh, June 17

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) today commenced the online registration process for admission to various courses at Punjab Engineering College (PEC).

JoSAA has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admission to 107 institutes across the country. Admission to all academic programmes offered by 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 other-government funded technical institutes in the country will be made through a single platform.

All candidates who have qualified the JEE (Advanced) 2019 are eligible to register for seat allocation in all participating institutes. They can fill their choices of institutes and branches in decreasing order of their preference. They can fill as many choices of their interest as possible.

JoSAA will conduct seven rounds of seat allocation for academic programmes offered by the institutes under JoSAA-2019. Candidates allotted a seat must pay the seat acceptance fee (through SBI e-Challan/SBI net banking/SBI debit cards) and get their documents verified at any reporting centre (josaa.nic.in) for provisional seat acceptance.


Schedule

  • June 16: Candidate registration and choice filling for academic programmes under JoSAA begins
  • June 22: Display of mock seat allocation-1
  • June 24: Display of mock seat allocation-2
  • June 25: Registration ends
  • June 27: Seat allocation Round 1
  • July 3: Display of seats filled/availability status and second round of allocation

Verify documents 

Students can fill their choices of institutes and branches in decreasing order of their preference. Candidates allotted a seat must pay the acceptance fee and get documents verified at any reporting centre.
