Airport gets another duty-free shop

Mohali, July 18
To facilitate passengers at the Chandigarh international airport at Mohali, Flemingo Duty-Free Shop Private Ltd opened a duty-free shop in the departure area here on Wednesday.
The duty-free shop was inaugurated by Suneel Dutt, CEO, Chandigarh International Airport Ltd (CHIAL), in the presence of senior officials of the CISF, Immigration and Customs, and staff members of the company.
A spokesperson for the airport said the duty-free shop would sell various international products, including liquor, confectionery items, perfumes and cosmetics, to passengers.
The company had earlier opened a duty-free shop in the arrival area of the airport.
Come Aug 1, fly to Indore from city
Come August 1, the city will be connected with Indore as Jet Airways will start its daily Hyderabad-Indore-Chandigarh flight. The airways will also start a direct flight from here to Kolkata, which will operate thrice a week (on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday). Indigo has already started its Srinagar-Chandigarh-Kolkata flight for six days a week since Tuesday.
