Akal Academy, Reeth Kheri, has created history by grabbing all top three positions in the science streams in the CBSE Class XII board exams in Patiala district. With 100 per cent pass percentage, Tavnoor Kaur topped in the medical stream with 96.6 per cent marks. Tavnoor also finished overall third in Patiala.
Another student, Savleen Kaur scored 96.2 per cent marks and grabbed the second spot in the medical stream. The third position in the medical stream in the city was also bagged by Akal Academy Reeth Kheri as Harkirat Kaur secured 96 per cent marks.
A similar scenario was witnessed in the non-medical stream. Robinpreet Singh clinched the top spot with 96.6 per cent marks. Robinpreet Singh finished combined overall third with her fellow schoolmate Tavnoor. Japneet Kaur secured 95.8 per cent marks to finish combined second in Patiala in the non-medical stream.
As many as 16 students got marks above 90 per cent, 46 secured more than 80 per cent marks and 23 students got more than 70 per cent marks.
Principal Shaminder Pal Kaur congratulated the students and their parents as well. Shaminder said, “We have carved out a niche for ourselves in turning out well-rounded personalities through our well-searched student-centered and spiritual atmosphere. We feel highly elated and elevated declaring that our all the students have come out with flying colors giving 100 per cent result overall.”
Modern Senior Secondary School
Modern Senior Secondary School, Patiala, has received excellent results in the CBSE Class XII board exams with 100 per cent pass percentage in both science and commerce streams and 95.3 per cent in humanities. In the science stream, Ritik Kumar topped the school by securing 94.8 per cent marks in science stream. In commerce stream, Nikita Rani grabbed the top spot by scoring 94.2 per cent while in humanities, Tanish Gupta scored 90.8 per cent marks. Principal Tripatjit Kaur congratulated students for their outstanding achievement, adding that students and teachers deserve all the credit for this brilliant performance.
Scholar Fields Public School
Scholar Fields Public School has once again proved its mettle in the field of academic excellence by stealing the glory in almost all streams of CBSE Class XII board exams. The non-medical stream has shown winsome performance and the credit goes to Amenreet Singh Sodhi with 95.4 per cent marks, followed by Manohar Singla 94.4 per cent in the medical stream, Sourav Sood topped the commerce stream by scoring 92.2 per cent marks and Rubalpreet Kaur from humanities excelled with 93.2 per cent marks. She aspires to become an IAS officer.
Ryan International School
In the non-medical stream, Rishavpreet Kaur topped with 96 per cent marks, followed by Muskan in the commerce stream with 96 per cent marks. Maitrey scored 95.8 per cent marks in the science stream followed by Samridhi with 90.2 per cent marks. Principal Pooja Sharma appreciated the achievement of the students.
Mukat Public School, Rajpura
Students of Mukat Public School, Rajpura, outshone the area in CBSE Class XII results. In all, 286 appeared for the board exams while 283 students passed. Palak topped the school with 95.2 per cent marks in the commerce stream. In humanities, Avneet Kaur topped with 93.8 per cent marks while Gaurav Setia topped in the non-medical with 93.6 per cent marks. In the medical stream, Gurleen Kaur secured 92.6 per cent marks.
Paradise International School, Ghagga
Students of Paradise International School, Ghagga, outshone the area in Class XII CBSE results. Navdeep Sharma topped the school with 95 per cent marks, Anchal Arora got 92.4 per cent marks, Sophia Garg got 91 per cent marks and Avnoor Kaur got 89 per cent marks. Anchal Arora got 100 per cent marks in physical education and Manpreet Kaur 99 per cent marks in biology. Over 30 students got above 80 per cent and 50 students got above 75 per cent marks.
Akal Academy, Babehra
Akal Academy, Babehra, has achieved 100 per cent results in the CBSE Class XII examinations in medical and non-medical streams. Bhawandeep Kaur stood first in the medical stream with 93.2 per cent marks while Gursham Singh and Gagandeep Kaur stood first in the non-medical stream with 91.2 per cent marks. Jashanpreet Singh stood first in the commerce stream with 85.8 per cent marks. Principal Meera Verma congratulated staff and all students.
Class XII student attempts suicide after results
A Class XII student attempted suicide by jumping into Bhakra canal after he failed in the CBSE board examination on Saturday. The boy was saved by lifeguards. The boy is said to be the student of Bhupindra International Public School. “He failed in the recent examination, and due to the fear of consequences of failing in the exam, he jumped into Bhakra canal,” a police official said. The boy was a student of the commerce stream and failed in two subjects. “On getting information, a police team, immediately, reached the spot and handed over the boy to his parents,” said Harvinder Singh Cheema, SHO, Pasiana police station.
