Amaan Khan powers hosts YPS into semis

Riding high on a solid knock of Amaan Ahmed Khan, hosts YPS, Patiala, sailed into the semi-finals of the All India IPSC Cricket Tournament after defeating DPS, RK Puram, by 66 runs here today.
Batting first, the YPS scored 179 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The main scorer for the YPS team was Amaan who scored a brilliant knock of 88 runs in 50 balls. He sent bowlers on a leather hunt as he scored freely with three sixers and four boundaries. He was ably supported by Harshit Takkar who scored 49 runs in 37 balls and Gurshaurya (28 runs in 22 balls). In reply, the DPS was all out for 113 runs in 17.5 overs. Aryaman Pal scored 41 runs in 36 balls while Aryan Duggal and Kunwar Rutajit took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively, for the hosts.
In another match, the DPS, Mathura Road, pipped the MNSS, Rai, by 21 runs. Batting first, the DPS scored 115 runs in 19.1 overs. Samyak and Harshil scored 34 and 24 runs, respectively, for the MNSS. Anish took 3 wickets and gave 17 runs. In reply, the MNSS were all out for 94 runs in 19.4 overs. Manoj scored 42 runs for the DPS while Rahul and Akash claimed 4 and 2 wickets, respectively, for the bowling side.
