Anand, Shiv take HC XI into semifinals

CHANDIGARH:Anand Bishnoi claimed a four-for before Shiv scored a half-century to help Punjab & Haryana High Court XI beat DBA, Jalandhar, by nine wickets and enter the final of the third Lawyers Cricket Championship for Justice VK Bali Trophy, here on Monday.

Anand Bishnoi claimed a four-for before Shiv scored a half-century to help Punjab & Haryana High Court XI beat DBA, Jalandhar, by nine wickets and enter the final of the third Lawyers Cricket Championship for Justice VK Bali Trophy, here on Monday. 

Batting first, the visitors were all out for 119 runs in 19.2 overs. Anand Bishnoi was the wrecker-in-chief for High Court XI, claiming 4/40. Pavinder Bedi (2/16) and Robin (2/13) took two wickets each. 

For the visitors, Ashok Bhagat scored 28 runs. 

Needing to score at six runs per over for victory, High Court XI reached home with nine wickets to spare. Shiv hammed a 54, while Angad scored 39 runs.
