He did his schooling from Chandigarh and had scored 95.6 per cent in Class X and 90 per cent in Class XII examinations.

“As the saying goes “Don’t wish for it, work for it”, I have a clear goal in mind; to get into IIM-Ahmedabad. I believe practice makes a man perfect, so I used to solve problems whenever I had time. Working hard towards my aim paid off well and lead me here. I'm grateful to my parents who have stood by my side throughout,” said Shivam Gupta.

A SD College student Pramod Beri has also scored 100 percentile in CAT 2017. Nearly, 2 lakh students took the exam across the country and only 20 students are there with 100 percentile. Beri and Shivam Gupta are among them.
