Ghazals by bhajan singer Anup Jalota marked the opening of the three-day music bonanza 'Sangeet Sarita' organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) and Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi at Tagore Theatre here today.
Jalota rendered bhajans like 'achtam keshvam', 'bolo Ram', 'sham teri bansi', 'jaisa soorj ki garmi', 'meyya mori' and more.
He maintained his tradition of excellence as composer and ghazal singer of merit while bringing alive the romanticism of traditional and modern ghazals like'hazaaron khwaishein', 'chand angdaian le rha hai' and 'tumhaare shehar ka mausam'. — OC
