Arnav clears PSPB table tennis trials

Gurukul Global School, Mani Majra, student Arnav Aggarwal finished among the top six in the talent hunt programme by Petroleum Sports Promotion Board at Ajmer. Players from all over the country participated in the trials. 

The selection was conducted under the supervision of coach Bhavani Mukherjee, Arjuna awardee Manjit Singh Dua and chief referee Atul Dubey. Aggarwal will now be enrolled in the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board academy. He started playing table tennis at the age of seven and has won many titles in the Chandigarh State Table Tennis Championship.

He was appointed captain of the table tennis team in the 78th Cadet and Sub-Junior National Championship (2016). Currently, Arnav is ranked No. 12 in the boys’ U-12 category. —TNS
