Ashiana Public, Chandigarh

Swastik Singhal of Ashiana Public School carved a niche for himself in the Chandigarh Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship-2019 conducted by the Chandigarh Chess Association at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, Sector 37-A. He won a trophy, merit certificate and cash prize in the Under-15 category. Swastik is now eligible to take part in the Common Wealth Games. 

Gian Jyoti Global School, Mohali

Students of Gian Jyoti Global School brought laurels to the school by winning a gold medal and two silver medals in the Inter-City Taekwondo Martial Arts Little Champs Contest & UCTC Cup Taekwondo Championship -2019. Over 150 students from Mohali participated in the championship. Kamalpreet of Class V won a gold medal, Piyush Latawa of Class VI won a  silver medal and Saksham Parmar of Class V won the silver medal in Inter-City Taekwondo Martial Arts Little Champs Contest and UCTC Cup Taekwondo Championship -2019.

AKSIPS-45, Chandigarh

Team AKSIPS -45 Smart School won the second prize in the Inter-School Street Play Competition held at St Stephen’s School. As many as 14 schools from the tricity participated in the competition. The play aimed at encouraging eco-friendly lifestyle. Director Principal Jasmine Kalra applauded the students.

Golden Bells, Mohali

The State Amateur Ball Badminton Championship was held at Baba Bakala, Amritsar. Students of Golden Bells Public School, Mohali, represented the district in a state-level tournament and got the second position in the junior group and fourth position in the senior group.  tns
