Award for CSIO scientist

The International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (ISEES) Young Scientist Award has been conferred upon Dr Pooja from the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) here for her contributions in the area of material science, sensors and energy harvesting.
The award was presented to her by VK Saraswat, member, Niti Aayog, and Prof Ashok Pandey, Chairman, ISEES, during the third ISEEC event held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. The society, founded at the IIT Kanpur in 2014, aims to spread knowledge in the fields of energy, environment, sustainability and combustion.
Dr Pooja has developed various low-cost functional materials for water pollutants detection using opto/electrochemical techniques. She has also contributed in area of solar photo-electrochemical water splitting for clean fuel (hydrogen) production. She has also published 44 research papers in international peer reviewed journals.
