Bringing laurels to the city and her alma mater, Nikita Goyal of Bathinda secured the all-India rank 8 in NEET, the results of which were announced this morning. She stood at the second position in Punjab.

Speaking to The Tribune, Nitika said she had taken this exam as a challenge and that’s how she had managed to score well. Daughter of Government Polytechnic College faculty member Rani Devi and ADO Rakesh Goyal, Nitika studied at Sanawar School and took coaching from the Magnet Institute in Bathinda to prepare for the examination. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
