An employee said boating had been restricted as boats could get stuck in the silt.

CITCO has installed red flags to warn the people against crossing the danger mark. Vijay Kumar, who came from Haryana, said it was disheartening to see Sukhna Lake in such a condition. He said he never missed an opportunity to enjoy the boat ride, but this time, he could not go beyond a point. Ramesh, a Bihar native, said he wanted to enjoy the ride, but when he saw the dried-up lake, he gave up the idea. As the city is waiting for the monsoon, the water level of Sukhna Lake has reduced further, touching the lowest in the past five years. The water level of the lake was 1152. 20 ft today, the lowest in many years. The water level has reduced by 1 ft in the past one month. The issue of the revival of the lake has been under the High Court scanner for quite long. The sad part is that the lake could not be revived despite taking a number of steps.
