Car set ablaze in Ram Darbar

Unidentified miscreants set a car on fire at Phase-II, Ram Darbar, here.

According to the police, the complainant, Sunita, alleged that four unidentified persons set her Fiat Punto car afire on January 13.

Sources said the complainant, along with her husband, was going to her brother’s house in Phase-I, Ram Darbar, when the accused first smashed the rear windowpane of the car and then, broke one of the headlights.

The matter was reported to the police. The complainant later parked the car outside her house.

During the night, her car was set on fire. The incident came to light in the morning when the complainant’s neighbour found the car ablaze.

The police were informed about the incident, following which a case under Section 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at the Sector 31 police station.
