The Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, has featured in the list of top 10 institutions across the country, in terms of filing patents, in the annual report published by the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks and Geographical Indicators, GoI.
Ranked seventh, the CGC has filed 30 patents in a single year.
These patents were applied for by CGC’s electronics and communication engineering (ECE) department (14 filed), computer science and engineering (CSE) department (10), mechanical engineering (ME) department (one) and biotechnology department (five). — TNS
