CGC, Landran, triumph
Mohali: Hosts Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, topped all the three disciplines --- powerlifting, weightlifting and best physique --- to lift the overall trophy in the PTU Inter-College Weightlifting, Powerlifting and Best Physique championships, here on Thursday. It is the 10th successive time that CGC, Landran, has emerged overall champions, said the organisers. TNS
Skating meet from Oct 25
Mohali: Chandigarh: Chandigarh Roller Skating Association will organise the state championship from October 25-28 at the Sector 10 skating rink, here. Following the tournament, the sports body will also select roller hockey and speed skating teams to represent the city in the 56th National Roller Skating Championship to be held in Visakhapatnam from December 18, the organisers said here on Friday. The interested skaters need to register for the event between October 21 and 23. TNS
