Chandigarh, August 12

Many city areas and UT villages  faced waterlogging  after heavy  rain  on Sunday morning. Commuters   faced  problems   due to the accumulation of rainwater  under the Sector  15 bridge. Water entered houses  in Khuda Lahora. City BJP president Sanjay Tandon, along with other party leaders, visited Khuda Lahora and took a stock of the situation.

Local residents complained that the drainage system had choked, flooding their houses. They also complained of water contamination, which, according to them, may lead to disease outbreak.

Residents of Colony No. 4   and nearby UT villages too faced similar problems.
