City girl Taniya gets India-A call
Chandigarh, November 20
Wicketkeeper-batsman Taniya Bhatia has been drafted into the India A women's team for the T20 home series against Bangladesh.The 19-year-old Chandigarh girl has represented Punjab in the Senior Inter-State Women's Cricket Nationals.
Taniya is the youngest women cricketer ever to play in Senior Inter-state tournament.This is the first time that India A women's team will play international games. The series will have three One-dayer and three T20 matches. The One-dayers will be held in Hubli while Belgaum will host the three T20 games. Prior to the one-day series, the Bangladesh ‘A' side will play two practice games in Alur.
