City spikers face Ahmedabad in quarters

Chandigarh, February 26 

RSB Chandigarh will face RSB Ahmedabad in the first quarterfinal match of the All-India Civil Services Volleyball Championship at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here on Wednesday. 

RSB Bangalore will play RSB Chennai, Pondicherry Secretariat will take on NCT Delhi, while Rajasthan Secretariat will lock horns with Central Secretariat.

On the last day of the league matches, RSB Chandigarh humbled Kanpur Secretariat 25-19 25-15, while RSB Chennai registered a 25-9 25-15 win over RSB Dehradun. NCT Delhi drubbed Gujarat Secretariat 25-8 25-22. 

Rajasthan Secretariat downed Haryana Secretariat 25-15 25-20, while Karnataka Secretariat defeated Uttar Pradesh Secretariat 25-20 25-16. Himachal Pradesh Secretariat outplayed Odisha Secretariat 25-11 25-13 in their last league match.

Karnataka Secretariat overcame Andhra Pradesh Secretariat 25-20 25-21, while Pondicherry Secretariat defeated Telangana Secretariat 25-12 25-19 to ensure a place in the quarterfinals. 

RSB Bangalore overcame RSB Kochi 25-18 24-26 25-20. Central Secretariat Delhi stunned Chhattisgarh Secretariat 25-13 25-17, while Goa Secretariat defeated Chandigarh Secretariat 25-16 25-15. Both the teams failed to qualify for the quarterfinal stage. 

Rajasthan Secretariat, meanwhile, pulled off a much needed win against Kerala Secretariat 25-17 25-20 in their last league match. 

Tamil Nadu Secretariat defeated Maharashtra Secretariat 25-7 25-22, while Central Secretariat beat Andhra Pradesh Secretariat 25-15 25-14.
