Chandigarh, August 20
More than a month after a private cloakroom was inaugurated at the Chandigarh railway station, the cloakroom, which will be managed by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC), is yet to store any goods or luggage.
According to sources, the new cloakroom can only begin work after a letter allowing it to do so is received from the Divisional Railway Manager’s office in Ambala.
Though the new cloakroom was inaugurated on July 11, the letter has not been received till now.
“I expect the letter to arrive in a few days,” said an IRSDC official. The railway station now has two cloakrooms, the older one being run by the Railways.
