Comedy play ‘Kaya Kalap’ staged

The three-day 17th Summer Theatre Festival concluded here at Kalidasa Auditorium of Virsa Vihar Kendra. The festival was organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala, in collaboration with the Natak Wala Group in the memory of the late Dr Prem Parkash Dhaliwal, a great scholar of Punjabi and Sanskrit.

On the final day, comedy play, 'Kaya Kalap', was staged by the artistes of the Natak Wala Group. The play is written by Vasant Kanitkar, a Marathi writer, and Punjabi adaption has been done by Surinder Baath and it was directed by Rajesh Sharma. The third day was inaugurated by Dr Kamlesh Uppal, former head of Theatre & TV Department, Punjabi University, Patiala. — OC
