A city-based girl who ranked ninth in the PCS exams believes that consistency plays a vital role in clearing competitive exams. Divya Singla, a law graduate from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) cleared the PCS exam in her second attempt.
Daughter of a businessman and a housewife, Divya said she decided to become an officer because it gives a platform to ensure that the voice of people gets heard. “It also gives satisfaction of having worked for others. Moreover, my grandfather always wanted me to become an officer,” she said.
Divya said one needs proper resources and capability to clear exams. “Proper resources are important for cracking an exam. My mentors at Achievers’ institute played a key role in providing me the resources.”
Sharing her views regarding the hours one needs to study, she said it depends on candidates. “It all depends on smart work. At times, six hours of study is enough. However, the most important aspect is consistency as candidates can measure and control their pace to achieve the target.”
Divya also remained completely detatched from social media. “I believe this is also subjective as there is no hard and fast rule or a particular way to achieve a target.”
