On Tuesday, counselling will be held for students from outside the UT for admission to various centralised courses.

Applicants who did not report on the day of the first counselling will get a chance in the second counselling only if they submit their willingness in this regard online on July 12 (Friday).

Applicants admitted in the first counselling can also submit their willingness on July 12 for the second counselling if they wish to change the college.

The merit list for the second counselling will be displayed on July 13 (Saturday). The second counselling will also be online. College-wise merit list of allotted candidates will be displayed on the website — www.dhe.chd.gov.in — subject to the availability of seats after the first counselling. Candidates are required to be present on the day of admission to allotted college and also bring a hard copy of the admission form (which can be downloaded from the website), along with original documents and self-attested photocopies thereof.

As UT-based colleges conducted the first counselling session for admissions to centralised courses for the forthcoming academic session, the applicants and their parents faced a little inconvenience.

Anjali Bisht, a BCom applicant, says: “The traditional method of making the fee payment in the form of cash is more convenient. We are not accustomed to making payments online”.

Another student, Shreya Sharma, who had applied for BBA, said: “Since they are accepting the fee payment through debit card, credit card, and the shortlisted candidates are also allowed to wire the amount, I don’t think it is a big issue. However, there might be some inconvenience for those who tend to pay through cash”.
