Chandigarh, April 6
Chandigarh Region Innovation and Knowledge Cluster (CRIKC) organised an industry-academia meet titled Medical Device Innovation Cluster (MDIC) at Panjab University here today.
While inaugurating the meet, PU Vice-chancellor Prof Raj Kumar said CRIKC was now ready for collaboration with industry.
The PU Vice-chancellor laid down a six-point agenda and said extending CRIKC to states like J&K, Himachal Pradesh and North-East would collaboratively address the problems of remotest areas. He shared the involvement of around 50 industrial houses of Ludhiana in the business meet and talked about the opening of 24x7 lab facilities to PU students.
Prof SK Mehta, coordinator, CRIKC, highlighted the journey of CRIKC since its existence and the availability of high-end instruments for public and private sector.
While concluding the workshop, Professor Kumar said he wanted to make these targets time-bound and wanted to focus on CRIKC technology deliverable gallery to be in place as early as possible.
