Dengue touches 300 mark in Chandigarh

Fourteen new cases of dengue were reported from different parts of the city today, taking the count of patients to 300.

However, there has been no report of death due to dengue. The UT Health Department on Friday had cancelled the holidays of all the doctors of the malaria department and also fixed the testing price. As per the Health Department, majority of the cases were reported in the peripheral areas, including Khuda Ali Sher, Ram Darbar, Khuda Lahora and Mauli Jagran.

He said a team of 15 doctors has been deployed in the Mani Majra hospital. Over 100 dengue cases were reported from Mani Majra alone. The department has requested the resident to clean their coolers and do not let water accumulate in tyres and other objects. While 300 cases of dengue have been reported in the city so far, however, the count was merely 94 till September 11, 2016.
