Doc leaves pair of scissors in patient’s stomach, held

The police on Wednesday arrested Dr Vimal Shourie for leaving a pair of scissors in a patient’s stomach. He was produced before the court, which sent him to judicial custody.
According to the police, the action was taken on a complaint lodged at the CM Window against Dr Vimal Shourie, Dr Sangeeta Shourie and staff for negligence during treatment at their hospital in Pinjore.
Dr Vimal was arrested from his Nalagarh-based hospital.
According to the complainant, Hemant Kumar of Kalka, his father suffered due to the doctor’s negligence. He alleged that his father was operated upon wrongly and sought justice from the CM.
Theft at Chandimandir Cantt
Thieves struck at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Chandimandir Cantonment and decamped with six CPUs, three printers, an LCD projector, five speaker set and headphones. The police have registered the case after the school filed a complaint. The school used to have a guard at the gate. The thieves apparently fled from the rear side as some stuff was found there.
