e-auction of properties fetches Rs 129 cr

e-auction of various commercial, residential, institutional and group housing properties offered by the regional development authorities working under the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which concluded on Thursday, fetched Rs 129 crore. As always, the highest amount of Rs 65.31 crore was earned from the Greater Mohali area.

Properties auctioned included a group housing site located in Mohali. Besides, booths, SCOs, built-up booths and residential plots located at Mohali, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Khanna and Amargarh were sold in the e-auction, which started on May 14.

Besides Rs 65.31 crore by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority, Rs 16.74 crore was fetched by the Patiala Development Authority, Rs 15.22 crore by the Bathinda Development Authority, Rs 7.99 crore by the Jalandhar Development Authority and Rs 23.56 crore was earned from properties sold by the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority.

Sharing the details, GMADA and PUDA chief administrator Ravi Bhagat said under the GMADA jurisdiction, a total of 8 sites were disposed of in the e-auction. A group housing site measuring 18,493.97 square meters located at Sector 82 in IT City, Mohali, was sold for Rs 55.5 crore. Highest bid of Rs 3,99,71,708 was received for SCO site in Sector 68. Another SCO of the same sector was auctioned for Rs 3,98,65,483. Both these sites measured 151.75 square meters each. A booth located in Sector 61, measuring 18.96 square meters was auctioned for Rs 92,20,020. Four ground floor built-up booths each measuring 10.93 square meters, located in Purab Premium Apartments, Sector 88, were also auctioned. Successful bid of Rs 22,55,274 was received for built-up booth number 6 and for built-up booth number 7, highest bid of Rs 22,57,460 was received. Built-up booth number 8 fetched Rs 22,81,506 and bid of Rs 22,80,413 was received for built-up booth number 9.

Terming the e-auction successful, Minister for Housing and Urban Development Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said the allotment letters to the successful bidders of the group housing site would be issued within 30 days of the receipt of 15 per cent amount of the final bid and to the successful bidders of all other sites, within 30 days of the receipt of 25 per cent amount of the final bid.

“Possession of all sites will be handed over to the successful bidders within 90 days from the date of issuance of allotment letter,” announced Vini Mahajan, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing and Urban Development and Financial Commissioner Revenue.
