ECHS stops referral to Fortis Hospital
Chandigarh, March 11
After complaints of unethical practices, the Central Organisation of Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) has issued orders for stopping referrals to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, with immediate effect. The orders were issued on March 8.The directions have been sent to all ECHS clinics.
The action has been taken in view of complaints by ex-servicemen. However, the old referrals, including cases of chemotherapy and dialysis, be honoured till the completion of the treatment or termination of the validity of the referral whichever is earliest, said the orders. —TNS
