Ekam Kaur overpowered Sanvi Gupta 6-2 to win the girls' U-12 final on the penultimate day of the YMCA Total Tennis Championship, held here today.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Ekam blanked Preet and Sanvi defeated Manya Goel with similar scores of 6-0. Meanwhile, in the boys' U-10 semis, Tejas Khosla overpowered Pawan Kumar Yadav 6-3 and Aarush Arora outplayed Dhruv Khanna 6-0. In the boys' U-12 category, Haralam moved to the finals by defeating Harshinder 6-2.
He will be facing Tejas, who defeated Swarit 6-4 in the second semi. Aarman Arora stormed into the finals of the boys' U-14 category by defeating Zorawar Dhillon 6-0. In the second match, Haralam ousted Swarit 6-1. In the pre-quarterfinals of the girls' U-14 category, Palak defeated Ritika Dash 6-1, while Harliv Kaur overpowered Anvi Shriti and Yashita Dhiman ousted Mankirt Kaur with identical scores of 6-0. —TNS
