Candidates seeking admission in BSc medical courses are fretting over date clash of two important exams. GMCH-32 combined entrance test is scheduled for June 25. On the same day is the BSc nursing entrance exam called the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET).

The candidates said that this way they would have to miss one of the important exams. A Chandigarh resident, Jagdish Lal, said that he has written to both the institutions and later met the officials even but in vain. “I met with an official at the GMCH. He asked me to talk to the university officials to change their date. I then spoke Dr Raj Bahadur of the university. He said that the whole state’s exam date is difficult to change and the GMCH should show flexibility.”

The candidates are caught between the tussle and will have to face the music by missing one of these exams. Previously, candidates faced a similar problem as the MBBS entrance of JIPMER University clashed with the PUCET conducted on June 4. The candidates had to miss one entrance even though they had applied for both.
