Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell (EIC), Punjab Engineering College (PEC), organised an interaction on social entrepreneurship with Cynthia Hellen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, SMPLCT Lab, USA.

Catherine Fischer, Public Diplomacy Officer, North India Office, USA Embassy, and Ayesha Gideon, Cultural Affairs Specialist, were present.

Hellen shared her experiences and the struggle she underwent as to become successful entrepreneur. She expressed that design was the backbone of any product or project.

She talked about the technology developed by her team to curtail infant mortality in the USA. The US team offered to extend all help to the PEC for the development of social entrepreneurship.

Dr Manoj K Arora, Director, PEC, highlighted the importance of social entrepreneurship and expressed his vision to motivate the students to work and contribute in this area of entrepreneurship.
