The protestors held a protest outside the office of medical superintendent of Government Rajindra Hospital and also blocked the Patiala Sangrur road for nearly an hour.

They were demanding the government to fill the posts of Class IV employees in the hospital that had been lying vacant since long and hire contractual employees for permanent posts.

The protestors said they had been protesting since days, but the officials had not paid any heed to their grievances. “We had decided to protest in two shifts, but then we were forced to continue our protest till sixth day,” an employee said. They would intensify the stir if their demands were not met, the agitators said.
