Ambala, March 9
A fire broke out at a readymade garments shop at Jagadhri Gate in Ambala City in the wee hours today. The fire was first noticed by a passer-by who raised the alarm. Two fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
Harsh Dua, owner of Riwaz Collection, said: “We had closed the shop around 8:30 pm last night. We got information about the fire around 3 am today. Besides clothes, furniture, electronic items and other goods worth 15 lakhs were destroyed in the fire.”
