Firm offers to run Baithak for Rs 11 lakh a month

Chandigarh, August 6

City Heart Hotel Limited has been declared the successful bidder for Baithak, a prime outlet of the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) at Kalagram. The firm has offered to run the restaurant by paying a rent of Rs 11 lakh per month.

CITCO had received bids from three companies for running Baithak — Ishan Hospitality Private Limited, Apex Eateries Private Limited and City Heart Hotel Limited. The bids were opened on Monday and City Heart Hotel Limited, which made the highest bid, was declared successful.

Deepak Narang, managing director of City Heart Hotel Limited, said, “We see a huge business potential in Baithak. He said the firm would start running the restaurant after getting an official communication from CITCO.

Baithak, a Punjabi restaurant, has been non-functional since November 2016, causing a loss of over a crore to CITCO. Earlier, Sunrise Integrated Facility Private Limited had taken the outlet on a rent of Rs 6.05 lakh but could not manage it properly and had left midway.
