Geetika Matharu tops Panchkula district

Geetika Matharu of Sarthak Government Model Integrated Senior Secondary School, Sector 12-A, bagged the first position with 97.6 per cent in the district in the Class X HSEB exam results which were declared here today. 

The second position was bagged by Preeti Kumari with 96.6 per cent while the third position was shared by Deepanshu of Noble Model High School, Pinjore, and Gunjan of Sarthak Government Model School with 96.2 per cent.

Geetika Matharu, who got 488 marks out of 500, gives credit to her parents and teachers. She says she wants to become an IAS officer. 

Preeti Kumari, who bagged the second position by scoring 483 out of 500 marks, says she wants to become a chartered accountant. “I used to study for seven to eight hours a day and was totally focused.”

Deepanshu, who bagged the third position, says she wants to become a cardiologist. “I believed in self-study and never opted for tuitions.”

Gunjan, who shares the third spot with Deepanshu by scoring 481 marks out of 500, said: “I believed in regular studies and never opted for any tuition.”
