The Guru Gobind Singh College for Women (GGSCW), Sector 26, named after the 10th Sikh Guru under the aegis of the Sikh Educational Society, takes pride in their mission of imparting quality education to young women.

The college offers graduate and postgraduate courses in arts, commerce, science and computer science and applications. It is functioning under the dynamic leadership of Dr Jatinder Kaur, who has contributed immensely to the field of higher education.

She reinforces that the college offers a variety of academic programmes, emphasising on holistic education, which facilitates the all-round progress of a student.

The college has an 11-acre sprawling campus replete with an expanse of infrastructure, which includes all latest facilities, smart classrooms, research centre, well-equipped labs, well-stocked library, an auditorium, fitness centre, and student’s centre. The college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Job fests, placement drives and career counselling help college students for future prospects. The college offers scholarships and financial aid to deserving students. The active and dynamic NSS and NCC units of the college inculcate timeless values in students.

New initiative namely, Raahat — A society for serving humanity, Gender Champions Club and Rotaract Club of Life Turners have come to existence in the recent past. Mata Kheevi Hostel on the campus came into existence in 1976, and is a well-equipped hostel with excellent accommodation for 350 inmates.
