Student artistes from various schools of the city brought alive diverse regional culture through thrilling dance and musical performances during a colourful bonanza organised by the Education Department on the eve of the 70th Republic Day. Winners of a state-level dance competition were also felicitated by the chief guest, UT Adviser Manoj Kumar Parida. Arshita Kalia of the GMSSS-16 bagged the second position, while Subra Koser and Nitasha Bannerji clinched the first and third positions, respectively. DEO Anujit Kaur was also present on the occasion.

Joyland Montessori, Chandigarh

Joyland Montessori School, Sector 38, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm under the theme of ‘Yeh Gulistan Hamara’. Tiny-tots enjoyed by tapping their feet on patriotic songs.

Gurukul Global, Chandigarh

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, organised a special assembly to mark Republic Day. Students presented patriotic songs, dances, PPTs on rights and duties of an Indian citizen and speeches. Meritorious students were given away prizes by Principal Ursvashi Kakkar.

CRB Public, Chandigarh

CRB Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Tiny-tots actively participated in a drawing and colouring activity. Students of Classes I-VIII presented patriotic songs, dances, speeches and poems. Director Naveen Kumar Mittal highlighted the importance of the festival. 

Shishu Niketan, Sec 22, Chd

Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22-D, Chandigarh, celebrated National Voters Day. Stickers and pamphlet were distributed among students of Classes IX and X. A pledge to make the right use of votes was also administered to the students.
