GMSSS-35 boys win baseball title

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 35 blanked Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, 10-0 to win the boys’ U-17 inter-school baseball title.    

Government Model High School, Sector 37, registered a 2-1 win over St. Anne’s School, Sector 32, to finish third.  

Carmel Convent, Sector 9, meanwhile, eased into the girls’ U-14 semifinals with an 11-1 win over Government Model High School, Sector 11.    

Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, beat Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, 8-2, while Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38, blanked St. Marry School, Sector 46. 

Government Model High School, Sector 11, drubbed Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 39, 11-1 to move into the girls’ U-17 semifinals.   

St. Anne’s beat Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38, 10-0, while Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, humbled St. Marry School, Sector 46, 13-3.

In the last quarterfinal match of the day, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 10, outplayed Sacred Heart School, 10-0. 

GMSSS-20 boys on top

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 20, beat Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32, 9-6 to win the boys U-14 inter-school netball championship here today. 

KB DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, finished third after beating Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, 9-5 in the playoff. 

The girls’ U-14 title went to Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20. The side dumped Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, 9-1 in the final.

Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, registered a narrow 6-5 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32, to claim third position.

In the boys’ U-17 final, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, humbled Sri Aurobindo School, Sector 2, 11-4. 

DAV Public School, Sector 8, ended in third place after they beat Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32, 15-6.

Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, meanwhile, got the better of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, to clinch the girls’ U-17 title. The side won 10-6 in the final.  

Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, tamed Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, 12-6 to bag third position.   

AKSIPS triumph

AKSIPS, Sector 41, beat Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21, 16-7 in the boys U-17 inter-school handball championship on Thursday. 

DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, got overwhelmed Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, 33-15.

In the boys’ U-14 category, Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Sector 30, beat Shivalik Public School, Sector 41, 9-3.

Government High School, Sector 35, overcame DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, 15-13, while Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, registered an 8-2 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23.  

GMSSS-26 spikers win 

GMSSS, Sector 26, defeated Tender Heart School, Sector 33, 25-7 25-4 to enter the girls’ U-14 semifinals in the inter-school volleyball championship. 

Government Model High School, Sector 34, registered a 25-12 25-13 win over GMSSS, Sector 27, while Government Senior Secondary School, Kaimbwala, defeated GMSSS, Sector 19, 23-5 25-19 to book a berth in the last-four stage of the championship. 

In another quarterfinal, Government Model High School, Sector 26, defeated Government High School, Sector 50, 25-21 25-22.

GHS-54 boys succeed

Government High School (GHS), Sector 54, defeated Government High School, Hallomajra, by nine points and one innings in the inter-school kho-kho championship for U-14 boys.
