Patiala, February 17
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), HQ 1 Armoured Division, Major General JJ Sandhu, felicitated cricketers of the Black Elephant Cricket Club (BECC) for their outstanding achievement.
The Black Elephant Cricket Club, run by Army in Patiala since 1986, provides cricket coaching to children of both Army personnel and civilians.
Lauding the achievers, Sandhu said, “It was through sheer determination that they have come out with flying colours. Their achievements have brought pride to city residents.”
Sandhu presented prizes to the seven outstanding achievers of the club. The players awarded by Major General, include Prabhsimran Singh, who will be playing IPL from Kings 11 Punjab side; Anmolpreet Singh, who will be playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Prabhjot Singh, Shabnam, Aryan Yadav, Vihan Malhotra and Manveer Singh.
