Chandigarh, December 3
Jaiveer Makkar, a Class IV student of Strawberry Fields High School, has won four gold medals and a silver medal at the recently held horse show at Punjab Public School, Nabha.
Makkar competed in group-III (U-10) and group-II (10 years to 12 years) categories in the championship.
Riding his horse Royal Flame, Makkar won his first gold in the hacks event and then dominated the jumps event in group-III.
He had a clear round on both his horses — Royal Flame and Argentina.
Makkar won the gold with a timing of 26.83s on Royal Flame and clocked 28.42s to claim the silver medal while riding Argentina.
In the group-II, he cleared the round on Royal Flame with a timing of 33.93s to win his third gold. And lastly, he came on Royal Flame to make a highest overall score of 980 points to claim his fourth gold medal. — TNS
