Chandigarh, June 22 

Punjab speedster Manpreet Singh Gony on Saturday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The right-arm medium pacer had informed his decision to Punjab Cricket Association on June 21.

The 36-year-old has represented India in two One Day Internationals, besides playing in 61 First Class and 55 List-A matches. He also played 90 T20 matches in his nearly 12-year-long career.  

Gony made his ODI debut against Hong Kong in 2008 and played his last ODI in the same year. He made his First Class debut against Andhra Pradesh in 2007 and played his last against West Bengal this year.

In his First Class career, Gony claimed 196 wickets with 10 five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket hauls. He also scored 1226 runs.
