Govt to tie up with Chitkara community radio: Channi

The Punjab Government will tie up with Chitkara FM Radio to make people aware of its achievements and various welfare schemes. The Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi, discussed this with the Chitkara University administration during his visit to the radio station.
The minister said the radio station was equipped with the latest technology and had good radio presenters. The minister said the government would utilise its services for creating awareness among the masses about career counselling programmes, traffic, health schemes and scholarships. Channi said with such initiatives, people could be made aware as to how to benefit from various schemes of the government. The minister also visited the TV studio of the university.
Vice-Chancellor Madhu Chitkara said they were running round-the-clock radio programmes. She said the radio station reached a radius of 15 kilometers. The minister asked the university administration to come up with a detailed proposal to sign the MoU with the state government.
