Gurukul Global School celebrated Mother’s Day with great fervour. The school organised a warm and affectionate morning for mothers. Students’ mothers participated in the activities, including ramp walk, jhatpat snacks and dance competition, among others.

Golden Bells Public School, Mohali

Golden Bells Public School, Sector 77, Mohali, organised investiture ceremony. School chairman Col CS Bawa (Retd) handed over the badge of appointment to Akashdeep Singh as the head boy and Nanty as the head girl. Ankush Chaudhary, Dilpreet Singh and Gurkamal Singh were appointed captains of Mars, Venus and Jupiter Houses, respectively. Nancy Chaudhry, Tanya Vashisht and HarnoorKaur were appointed vice president.

Students of PML S D Public School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, celebrated Mother’s Day. Class I and II students participated in card drawing event while the students of Class III, IV and V participated in a card making activity. Principal Monica Sharma lauded the students.

An inter-house quiz competition on “Save our environment was conducted for the students of primary section. Chairperson Shanta Nayyar awarded the winners, including Lavisha, Manvika, Satwik, Diksha, Ridhi Tejpal and Eleni.

Stepping Stones Int’l School

Stepping Stones held its investiture ceremony on Wednesday. School Principal Anu Kumar handed the mantle of responsibilities and power to new school captains Raghav Yogi and Tanu Sharma. The principal wished luck to the new council.

St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School

St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, organised an annual inter-school event “The Orator- 2019”. Twelve schools from the tri-city participated in the event. In “Spell Well” contest for Class VII, Navika Singh of Vivek High School stood first, Antara Sharma of Manav Mangal, Chandigarh, ranked second and Vedaant Parashar of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Chandigarh, stood third. Samridhi Bhardwaj, Alex Pranav Chaudhary, Kushaan Maini, Aaron Halder of  St Xavier’s, Chandigarh, and Akshaj,  Samay,  Rabbani Lehal,  Eklavya Mogla of Vivek High stood first in “Salability” event. Jai Dureja,  Karan Sekhri, Nishita Monga,  Avni Puri of St Xavier’s, Mohali, ranked second and  Ayra Ali, Abhinav Biswas, Tejeshwar Singh,  Anya Vashisht of St Stephen’s, Chandigarh, came third. In “Story Telling” (Class X), Harshit Singh of Vivek High School, Chandigarh, Akhilesh Mehra of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, and Shubhangi Arora of St Xavier’s, Chandigarh, stood first, second and third, respectively.
