Hans Raj Hans paid reverence to Khwaja Ajmer Wale through an   invocatory “Rakho meri laaj”.  He paid rich tributes to his mentor, Jagjit Singh, in a Nida Fazli composition “Garj bars pyasi dharti perr phir paani de maula”.

Earlier, Hans presented a soulful ghazal “Neend aaye koi..” He then bared the mysticism of Baba Bulleh Shah with “Hun asaan bhed sajan de..”  Hans was at his best as he brought alive the pathos, anguish and lament of Shiv Kumar Batalvi through “Mayein ni mayein mere geetan they naina vich” and “Shikra yaar”. Hans presented two compositions of Padmashri awardee poet Surjit Patar like “Mein tenu awaazan”and “Kujh keha tan Hanera”.
