Healthy breakfast can transform quality of life, says dietician

Eminent dietician and nutritionist Madhu Sharma, former Head, Department of Dietetics, PGIMER, highlighted the significance of a healthy kitchen as a gateway to healthy living.
While delivering a lecture on “Health talk on diet” today, she correlated as to how the quality of ingredients of a kitchen can influence the energy levels and overall quality of personal and professional life. She emphasised on the consumption of pure, natural, organic, unprocessed foods.
She said cold pressed cooking oils and whole grain flours should be preferred over refined oils and flours. Sharma also pointed out that a good, healthy breakfast can transform the quality of one’s life. She also suggested lifestyle modifications through intelligent interventions.
The programme was organised by Chandigarh Press Club in association with an organic food start-up, Nature Farms & Beyond.
