Panchkula, February 18

The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has filed a complaint at the Sector 5 police station against a Panchkula resident for forging documents to get two plots transferred in his name.

The Estate Officer in his complaint to the police said the accused had prepared a fake Aadhaar Card with the name Raj Kamal Bante on the address of original allottee Raj Kamal Banta.

He had mentioned House No 316, Sector 4, as his address in the Aadhaar card. Later in November 2018, he applied for the duplicate papers of a plot in Sector 8. The owner of both these properties was residing in Chandigarh from where he had applied for the plots earlier.

The authorities had objected to the signature on the documents as these were not matching with the original allottee. Still he managed to move his file ahead. On December 20 last year, he applied for the transfer of the Sector 8 plot in the name of Sunil Garg and Ritu Garg and the permission for the same was granted on January 9.

On January 25, Raj Kamal Bante applied for duplicate documents of plot no 316 in Sector 4. He also registered a case about the missing documents of the Sector 4 plot at the Sector 5 police station. However, Bante gave the details of two plots instead of one while applying for duplicate documents in the Estate Office, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran. After this, he again filed an application for the issuance of duplicate documents for plot no 316 in Sector 4, which was sent for processing.

However, one of the letters reached the original allottee, Raj Kamal Banta, at his Chandigarh address who immediately contacted the Estate Office, HSVP. Following this, a three-member committee was formed which found the documents submitted by Raj Kamal Bante as forged. The Estate Officer has now filed a complaint at the Sector 5 police station.
