The drive was carried out under the supervision of Duty Magistrate Rajiv Tewari and Executive Engineer Sunil Malik.

Most of the allottees have started removing violations on their own, but in a few cases unauthorised construction work was underway.

The CHB is computing the cost of demolition, which will be recovered from the allottees. In case of non-payment of charges, it will cancel the allotment of dwelling units.

The board is adopting zero tolerance policy against fresh unauthorised constructions.

Since August 1, the enforcement squad of the board has identified 41 fresh unauthorised constructions/alterations and on the site challans have been issued. The squad is making daily inspections in all sectors to identify fresh violations.

Additional constructions for permitted need-based changes also cannot be started without submission of required documents and obtaining permission from the board. Counter number 4 at ‘C’ Block of the CHB office in Sector 9-D has been set up for the purpose.
