Imbibe teachings of Bhai Ghanaiya, says Dharamsot

Rich tributes were paid to Bhai Ghanaiya during the state-level event “Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Manav Sewa Diwas” at Government Ripudaman College, Nabha.

Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Minister for Forests, Social Justice and Minority Affairs and Printing and Stationery, while presiding over the event asked the youth to walk on the path of humanity and imbibe values of Bhai Ghanaiya.

He called upon the youth to be aware of those who divide the society on communal lines and create disharmony. Dharamsot said the state government was committed to strengthen Punjab.

He said, “Actively participate in a plantation drive being carried out on the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Devi. At least plant two saplings each and take care of them.”

The Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Mission, Hoshiarpur, and Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Charity and Peace International Foundation, president, Prof Bahadur Singh Sunet, and Col Karminder Singh (retd), general secretary, Society for Welfare of Handicapped, also addressed the youth. 

Social workers, including Prof Sunet, Col Karminder, Jagjit Singh Patiala, Dr Vijay Bodal, Surinder Singh Saini, Taranjit Singh Nimana, Pardeep Kuamr Nanda and Amarjit Singh were honoured for their contribution to the society.
