Office-bearers of the Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) on Sunday met the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor (VC) of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU), Dr Ajay Sharma. Officials said affiliated colleges and the PTU would work together to improve the quality of education.
The delegation reached the university under the leadership of president Dr Anshu Kataria. Dr Ajay Sharma assured the delegation that the affiliated colleges and the PTU would work together to improve the quality of education as well as to make the university more visible in the country and other neighboring countries.
PUCA urged the VC to take necessary steps to improve the poor financial situation of the unaided colleges. They also said the university should start new courses as per industrial demands.
