An Innova was set on fire by some miscreants at Phase I, Ram Darbar, during the wee hours here on Monday.
Parkash Singh, owner of the vehicle, in his complaint to the police stated that he and his family returned from his nephew’s birthday party around 2.30 am. Singh parked the vehicle outside his house. Around 4 am, his neighbours woke him up to inform that someone has set the vehicle on fire. The fire was doused and the police were informed about the incident.
Sources said the complainant had named a few persons who are suspected to have set the vehicle on fire.
A DDR has been lodged at Sector 31 police station in the matter and an investigation has been initiated.
