IT raid at Amrit Confectioners in Mohali

A team of Income Tax Department officials conducted a search at Amrit Confectioners, Amrit Dhaba and Amrit Sweets, all three located in the Phase 5 market here, this evening.
According to sources, the search was conducted following directions of Principal Commissioner-2 Poonam K Sidhu.
The team of the Income tax Department had 10 officials.
It seized records of all three establishments during the search.
Though the team members remained tight-lipped about the proceedings, it was told that it was a routine affair to check business details of the establishments.
The team of the Income tax Department reached at the establishments in the evening and asked all customers to leave after which they started the proceedings. Nobody was allowed to enter their premises during the raid. The search was on till the filing of the report.
